How are the players selected for this event?
Every high school coach in the state receives information regarding this event and their district coach's contact information. Every coach has the opportunity to nominate a player from their team for consideration. The 24 selected district coaches will choose these players based on suggestions from colleges, scouts, media, and their own best judgement of talent and player projection at the next level.
How many players are selected from each district?
There are 15 total players generally selected from each district. These players include 4 pitchers, 2 catchers, 5 infielders, and 4 outfielders.
Who is eligible to participate in this event?
Incoming Junior and Senior baseball players from the state of Ohio are eligible for selection. These players would be incoming Juniors and Seniors for the 2010-2011 school year.
I am a player, and I want to be considered for selection, what should I do?
Approach your high school coach and ask him if he has received information on this event. If he has not, refer him to this website. Have your coach email your district's coaching staff and nominate you for selection. A nomination from your head coach will not guarantee your selection, but it guarantees the district coaches are aware of you as a player.
I am a college coach and would like to see a certain player there, what do I do?
Contact the district coaching staff that the player's high school falls under. Tell that coaching staff that you highly recommend that player to be selected. Once again, this does not guarantee the player's selection, but it will allow the district coaches to know what players are being highly recruited.
