How are the players selected for this event?

Each state is divided into 6 districts. Up to 17 players are chosen from each district to be a part of their district team. 24 selected Crossroads district coaches across the state work together to select these top players. The Crossroads Series staff works to contact every high school coach in each state to inform them to nominate their top player(s) for this event. Every coach in the state has the opportunity to nominate a player from their team that they feel has the ability to play at the next level. The 24 Crossroads district coaches will then select players based on nominations from high school /travel/legion coaches, suggestions from colleges, scouts, and their own best judgement of player talent and projection at the next level. (Note: In the state of Michigan, our Crossroads organization still requires players to have an online nomination form filled out and sent to us by their HS coach, however, the event is an open event. Once we receive a player's online nomination form from their HS coach, that player is immediately allowed to register their roster spot online.)

How many players are selected from each district?

Up to 17 players are selected from each district. These players include 6 pitchers, 2 catchers, 5 infielders, and 4 outfielders.

Who is eligible to participate in this event?

Sophomore and Junior high school baseball players are eligible for nomination/selection. These players would be incoming Juniors and Seniors for the 2012-2013 school year.

I am a player, and I want to be considered for selection, what should I do?

Approach your high school, travel, or legion coach and ask him if he has received information on this event. If he has not, refer him to this website. Have your coach fill out the online nomination form and nominate you for selection. A nomination from your coach will not guarantee your selection, but it guarantees the Crossroads District Coaches and Crossroads organization are aware of you as a player.
